Sept. 9, 2023 – The Texas Lyceum, a nonprofit, nonpartisan, statewide leadership organization, has announced the appointment of Crayton Webb, Texas Lyceum Class of 2018, as the organization’s president elect for 2024.
The Texas Lyceum is pleased to share that Crayton Webb of Dallas will serve as the organization's president in 2025. Webb is the owner and CEO of Sunwest Communications.
Webb became a Texas Lyceum director in 2018 and has served in several leadership roles. In 2020 he held the position of both Vice President of the Lyceum Poll and Vice President of Communications. He co-chaired the Texas Lyceum Public Conference (PubCon) in 2021 on the Texas economy amidst COVID-19; and co-chaired PubCon again in 2022 in Frisco on Texas in the 2020s. He served on the executive committee for three years, has participated in numerous conference planning teams, been an annual and conference sponsor and hosted recruiting events in North Texas.
Webb will succeed Molly Quirk (San Leanna), who will serve as Texas Lyceum President in 2024.
The 96-member Texas Lyceum board acts as a catalyst to bring together diverse opinions and expertise to focus on national and state issues, and seeks to emphasize constructive private sector, public sector and individual responses. The Lyceum selects new directors to fill the seats of outgoing directors annually through a rigorous application process that ensures the 96 directors represent the breadth of the diversity in Texas. The selection process ensures Lyceum directors are active and involved in their communities, have demonstrated leadership abilities and are eager to contribute their talents and time to the betterment of Texas.
