Texas Lyceum Announces Reda Hicks as 2022 President Elect

In her role as president elect, Hicks will serve as part of the 2022 Lyceum leadership team which will include Sarah Jackson as president and Castlen Kennedy as chairman. Hicks will serve as president of the organization in 2023. Hicks was nominated and approved for the role by the organization’s directorship. Previously, Hicks served as an executive committee member and co-chair of two prior Texas Lyceum conferences.

Reda is a native Texan, born and raised in Odessa and a current resident of Humble.  Professionally, she is a Vice President at Burford Capital LLC and is the founder of GotSpot, Inc. Personally, she supports impact-driven engagement in her community through Leadership Houston, the League of Women Voters Houston, and Impact Hub Houston. Further, Hicks is a proud army spouse and works to support military families at the local, state, and national levels through Military Family Advisory Network and Bunker Labs and is a founding member of the Military Spouse JD Network, the bar association for military spouse attorneys. Hicks graduated from the University of Texas at Austin for her undergraduate studies and the University of California Berkeley for her juris doctorate.

Dr. Diana Natalicio Recognized with 2020 Stewardship of Texas Values Award

 
 Since 1988, The Texas Lyceum has presented the Stewardship of Texas Values Award to honor those leaders who best exemplify the Texas principles and values for which this State and the Lyceum stand. The presentation of the Stewardship of Texas Values Awards marks an occasion for the Lyceum community to gather and renew friendships necessary to the continued success of the networking process.

Texas Lyceum Names Laura Dixon of Spurs Sports and Entertainment As 2020 President and 18 Texans Join Board of Directors

(AUSTIN)  The Texas Lyceum, a nonprofit, nonpartisan statewide leadership organization announced today that Laura Dixon of Austin has been named the 2020 Texas Lyceum president. Dixon has been on the leadership team at Spurs Sports and Entertainment since 2009. She led community engagement for five professional sports franchises and served as Executive Director of Silver and Black Give Back. In 2017 she was named head of external relations for the parent company. Dixon earned her bachelor’s degree from Texas Tech University and her Master of Business Administration from the McCombs School at the University of Texas at Austin.
