Category: Quarterly Meetings

Join the Texas Lyceum for the Meeting hosted in Midland, Texas

Energy production and consumption are major drivers of Texas, the United States and the world.  The Permian Basin is home to the most prolific energy producing region in North America, and possibly the world. However, many might not truly know what energy means to the economy, politics and the environment. At the Midland Conference, we’ll pull back the curtain on these topics and give everyone the chance to see what the Permian Basin has to offer in its people, culture and, of course, its energy production.

Chairman Christi Craddick invites you to Midland!

Texas Lyceum Director and EVP of the Permian Basin Petroleum Association, Stephen Robertson has witnessed firsthand just how much of an impact the Permian Basin has had on the U.S. Hear Stephen’s take on the growth of renewable energy sources and how winter storm Uri has affected the industry.

Where does our energy come from and how does it get to us? Texas Lyceum Director & President of Howard Energy Mexico, Brandon Seale discusses how recent events - including the winter storm and COVID - have shaped the energy industry.

Oil and gas are a big part of the Texas economy and our state’s history, but as Texas Lyceum President & Class of 2017 Castlen Kennedy points out, the Lonestar state is also known for our solar, wind, and other renewables. Listen in as Castlen discusses the future of energy and how the Permian Basin has shaped the industry’s landscape.
